La foto de este mes es bastante conocida, de hecho es la portada de la biografía de Maurice Leonard. Pero hay otra foto que se hizo en ese momento y en color.
No son fotos propiamente de estudio sino que se la hicieron a Monty en pleno rodaje de Red River (Río Rojo, 1948). Aparece sentado en la típica silla de cina con el guión y fumando. Y como siempre sentado de lo más despreocupado. En la segunda parece que estuviera hablando o escuchando a alguien y está con las piernas cruzadas. La tercera foto va aparte pero se ve que corresponde al mismo momento. Estas fotos s hicieron en 1946 y son la sprimeras de Monty en el mundo del cine.
