Esta fotografía es del rodaje de The Big Lift (Sitiados, 1950) como se ve en la misma, con todo el aparatejo de luces, cámaras, los raíles para el travelling... y esas sillas tan propias, que me encantan, con los nombres de los actores, en este caso Miss Borchers y Mr. Clift.
La foto me encanta, por ese ambiente tan de cine, aunque a Monty se le vea mal al fondo. En el reverso de la foto hay una interesante anotación sobre la película y un sello de recepción en la biblioteca con la fecha, 10 de agosto de 1949, tal día como hoy. La foto debe ser de los primeros días del rodaje pues fu justo en agosto cuando Monty salió del aeropuerto de Nueva York para incorporarse al rodaje a principios de agosto.
Hace 60 años. Monty tenía 28 años.
Su carrera comprende 17 títulos entre 1948 y 1966. Trabajó con los grandes directores (Hawks, Hitchcock, Stevens, Zinnemann, Kazan, Huston, Wyler) y las grandes estrellas (Lancaster, Marilyn Monroe, Katherine Hepburn, Brando, Wayne, Elizabeth Taylor especialmente) de entonces.
